I'm the author of the Mira's Baking Adventures series and Isha Evans, Eco Detective. I'm also the founder of a nonprofit outdoor preschool.Before becoming a writer and educator, I worked as a journalist, trained at pastry school, and made desserts at a New York City restaurant. I've been combining my love of baking and teaching ever since.I've spent my career directing and writing grants for nonprofit educational programs, including STEM enrichment, and I believe that the "real world" - whether the kitchen or the forest - is the best classroom. I also blog about baking around the world at Baker Without Borders.I live in Georgia with my husband and 6-year-old twins, who are my most enthusiastic (and opinionated) test readers.
